Ryan has been working with Ethan for the past 3 years and Ethan’s development has progressed significantly from a technical perspective. Ryan has the ability to bring out the best in Ethan and also keeps it fun at the same time.

My son has been to various football academies and all have played their part in his development. However, I feel Ryan’s 8to1 academy is more relevant to the game. Over 3 weeks the kids learn various skills based on a specific topic; defending, attacking etc and then the game week allows them to put those skills into practice. The skills taught are detailed and clearly demonstrated so that the kids understand the principles and what they need to do. The parent clinic is an added (for me, unique) benefit. It’s a great opportunity for parents learn the skills so that they can practice with their child and reinforce what’s taught at the academy.
My son loves the 8to1 academy. He says it helps him be a better player and it’s a fun. He really likes all the coaches, he thinks they’re great.

Ashton has been attending the 1:1 and 8to1 programme with Ryan at the RB Academy for 6 months. I can honestly say the whole experience has been fantastic from speaking with Ryan prior to Ashton joining the programme to understand the coaching philosophy and how Ryan would work with Ashton to develop unbreakable technique, to seeing Ashton applying skills and techniques learnt outside of the coaching environment. All coaching is planned for Ashton as an individual and interactive for both player and parent. I can’t thank Ryan and the RB Academy Team enough for the confidence and development I have seen in Ashton in such a short period of time.

Both my sons (11 & 8 years) have worked with Ryan Byrne on a 1:2:1 and small group basis over the last 2 and half years.
He is a fantastic coach, very knowledgeable, positive and encouraging with my boys.
My younger son plays at academy level so we use RB 1:2:1’s to help him develop specific areas he’d like to improve upon. Ryan has a thorough lesson plan for every eventuality and can tailor it to the individuals need. My son always comes away with confidence in what he has learned and this is evident on match day.
Ryan clearly explains why he teaches certain things so we understand the reason behind drills/moves to take into the game. He is very approachable. He builds a strong relationship with parents and is keen to educate us further to help our boys.
Fantastic 121 coach. Recommend!

James has attended 8:1 for a year now. James was very scared to start a new training session and it took a lot of convincing to go, however after one session he loved it and has never looked back.
The reason for James enjoying the 8:1 sessions are because all the coaches praise the children tremendously and they are very positive with them. The sessions are always at a fast pace to gain the most out of each session.
As a parent it’s nice to see coaches working closely with your child and helping them improve their skills they are working on that particular week. The parent clinics are very informative which I really enjoy learning myself. This really helps me to support my son to transfer his new skills from this programme into his match play.

Both my boys have recently tried out RB Coaching at Aston on a Tuesday night. The coaching ratio is excellent. Two teams which I coach, Red Star MJPL u13s and Stonnall Juniors u11s have also had sessions with RB Coaching. It is great to see the technical content from the sessions being replicated in the higher match contexts at the weekends, so the methodology to help players remember and try to implement their learning is a winner for me. The parent clinics are a big plus – these help keep parents engaged with the session content and abreast of what is being taught to promote consistent messages for players.
